Mads Farsø (PhD) is a practicing landscape architect mdl PhD, and chief advisor at WSP Danmark. He is formerly associate senior lecturer and programme study director for the 'landscape architecture programme' at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Alnarp. Departing from a landscape perspective and using film as a tool of registration and design, Mads has researched how time and sound define spatial values of the everyday landscape, and how a greater awareness of space experienced as a sonic surrounding leads to different awarenesses. In 2008 he established the landscape architectural office Farsø Have. He co-founded and -led the Copenhagen Architecture Festival (CAFx) 2014-2017. In 2019 he initiated the Surroundings Lab.
